We are super happy to shine our spotlight on the talented folks at Rubi Hair in Richmond today and are lucky to have had the opportunity to garner some bhave wisdom from Senior Stylist, Tess.

your fave bhave products and why?

My favourite bhave products would have to be the gunpowder and riot control oil.

Gunpowder is a fantastic light-weight texturing dust that gives effortless texture and volume. Its awesome packaging has made it fun and easy to use in the salon.

Riot control oil is another one of my favourites because of its amazing scent and the way it smooths over every fly away. It creates such a beautiful shine on the hair.

the wildest hair request you’ve had?

Bright green Mohawk!

share your best hair tip

This is a quick tip for ladies with medium to fine hair lacking volume and texture. To help give your hair more root lift, blow wave your hair upside down then use the gunpowder to lock in the volume. You can also use some through the ends give texture.

how do you handle bad hair days?

I overcome bad hair days by refreshing my roots with some dry shampoo. Depending on the weather my hair is straight or curly from the previous day. I use a ghd to bend sections of my hair to create a messy textured look and then add some gun powder to set it.
